Banana Man is My Hero

My five-borough bicycle tour was largely chocolate-fueled (I brought along some of this cake), and I roasted and salted some mixed nuts very early that morning, but I was especially glad to have one of these bananas in Astoria.

Not for nothing--If you season freshly roasted nuts with powdered salt, do not try to cool them by blowing on them, especially not if you just put in your new contact lenses. Yowch.
