Sweet Yellow Limes and Loquats

Details will have to wait until I get home, but for now I will say that I quite understand the warm sentiments California inspires in the hearts of her young.

I saw a vegetable at the United nations Plaza Farmers' market I had never seen before. It is called "meyti" or "matee" or something like that. It has dark green, olive-shaped leaves on long stems. Anyone know about this?

No clue what that is, but I hope you're having a great time in California. My brother the famous Rand lives in Venice Beach so I do get to visit from time to time. Too much traffic for me, but there are a lot of good things there.

When my daughter lived in Berkeley, I had an excuse to go, and a place to stay. I miss visiting a whole lot.

Kalyn,
I have been enjoying the gpolden sunshine, but it is pouring now. There are indeed many good things here, and my hostess graciously allowed me to shop and cook some of the fabulous California bounty.

Lindy,
It is indeed convenient to have one's relatives strategically planted in the great food cities of the world, but it is also good to think up other excuses to visit--gotta feed the blog!
